We are a U.S.-based DOT Safety Consulting Company looking for a motivated, reliable, and self-driven Safety Assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable communicating with drivers and clients, and interested in transportation safety and compliance. Knowledge and experience with FMCSA/DOT regulations is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Requirements

• Strong communication and customer-service skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software and systems

• Reliable internet connection and a suitable work-from-home environment

• Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations and transportation safety is preferred

• Previous experience in DOT compliance, trucking, safety, or transportation is a plus

• Willingness to learn and follow established procedures

Responsibilities

• Audit and review drivers' daily logs and hours-of-service records

• Process and onboard new drivers

• Review and maintain driver qualification and compliance information

• Enter and update data in company systems

• Communicate with drivers regarding safety and compliance requirements

• Communicate with clients by phone and email

• Assist with DOT/FMCSA compliance-related tasks

• Maintain accurate and organized electronic records

• Follow up on missing documents and compliance items

• Assist the Safety Consultant with daily safety and compliance operations

• Perform other administrative and safety-related duties as needed
